Spreading the Word

The WA Social Worker of the Year Awards will be the subject of a paper to be presented to the Australian Association of Social Work and Welfare Educators Symposium in Adelaide in September. Our thanks to Dr.Katrina Stratton, UWA and Assoc Professor Fran Crawford and Angela Fielding (Both Curtin University) for their work on this. WA is unique in offering this Award and maybe this paper will encourage other States to do likewise and further enhance the profile of the profession.

 

 

 

Hays Healthcare were proud hosts of last week's Launch Party, we enjoy helping to positively raise the profile of WA's Social Workers in any way we can. It was great to see everyone there and be a part of kicking off proceedings for this year's highly anticipated SWOTY Awards in November.

We felt it was the perfect evening and choice of venue (thanks to the committee) to make the most of a relaxed setting outside of the work environment to mingle and enjoy each other's company. We hope you enjoyed the evening and embarked on some new relationships.

On the night we held a prize draw for some hotly contested bubbles!
